Harsdorffs Hus

An absolute giant in Danish cultural heritage. In 1780, architect C. F. Harsdorff was granted the plot of land at Kongens Nytorv by the King himself on the condition that he create an exemplary model for future squares and residences in the heart of the city. He succeeded, and classicism had arrived in Denmark.

In high-ceilinged halls and living rooms, lavish windows offer views of the Royal Theatre and 'Krinsen' and create a very special atmosphere in offices, lounges and meeting rooms. Original contemporary art created specifically for the building adorns the walls of what was once the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a quarter of a century. An unforgettable experience is guaranteed for you and your guests.

C. F. Harsdorff, who was director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, was awarded the site on the promise that Harsdorff would create a model for good urban planning and residential construction in the heart of Copenhagen. A promise he fulfilled.
