Zieglers Gaard

Zieglers Gaard is one of the gems of the Office Club family. Since 1732, the building has stood by the canal in Nybrogade – right in the historic heart of the old medieval town. Commissioned by court confectioner Johann Heinrich Ziegler and designed by the Dutch-born architect Philip de Lange, the building stands as one of the finest examples of early Rococo in Copenhagen.

Originally created as both a town house and a warehouse for the commercial life of that flourishing period, when goods and ideas flowed through the city’s canals and out into the world. Over the centuries, the building has provided a setting for merchants, artists, thinkers and businesses – from merchant families and the poet-priest Grundtvig to modern creative professions.

Today, Zieglers Gaard has been carefully restored and reimagined as Office Club. Historical details, art and architecture blend seamlessly in a building where nearly 300 years of stories continue to provide the backdrop for today’s work and community – a place where history, aesthetics and business converge in inspiring surroundings.

The house was built in 1866 for prominent families who were part of the cultural elite of the time. It is therefore an impressive property which today serves as an attractive meeting place for a selected group of national and international companies.

The meticulously restored interiors complement the beautiful stucco façade, and the four floors feature original details and bespoke interiors in keeping with the building’s rich cultural heritage.
